German has good reputation for its robust manufacturing and rigorous processing. After reading those articles, I find some really interesting cultural reasons to explain why German has one of the most reliable manufacturing process in the world.
The most important reason for me is that Germans are never satisfied by their accomplishment. Germans complain about everything. One famous phrase to describe Germans is that "Complaining seems as common as breathing within the German culture." Although it seems a little negative and annoying, complaining actually motivates German to find new problems in the existing system which seems perfect and make more improvements to make the system better. The modest and cautious attitude of Germans let them keep complaining and making progress.
Germans are also truth seekers, which also contributes to their economic and political success. Germans will say what they really feel, without any covering. As discussed in the article, personal invitation of all kinds are to be taken at face value. If your German friend want to invite you to a party, you must prepare for it and take it seriously. Yes does mean yes and no does mean no when you communicate with your German friends. I believe that the honesty actually builds up Germans' reputation for reliability and trustfulness.
Last but not least, Germans have an obsession with statics. They tend to understand every problems using numbers and figures. For example, if you are a foreigner in Germany, your German friends will then try to learn your culture by statistics in stead of asking general questions. As a fact, Germans are on top of their own statistics, which makes them the best people to analyze problems logically and successfully.
