This time I decided to try something my fellow peers have previously done. I decided to play my FIFA 13 game in German. By far the best soccer video game experience ever. It was sehr spass and funny; the commentators spoke in words that I already knew! They pronounced the players’ names using the alphabets of Deutsch. The commentators also pronounced the umlauts. It sounded interesting because the way I have always played soccer on the Xbox was nowhere near this new experience. It made me realize that commentators impact the fun of the game, and how hearing the actual pronunciation of the names could make it more realistic. I wonder how it would be to play NBA 2K in Deutsch, using the German sensation Dirk Nowitzki. Instead of Now-iskee, they would probably say Nov-iskeh.
