For this AMD, I watched two of Peter Fox's music videos and looked up the lyrics to the songs I listened to.

In this music video, it's as if he's destroying everything he was because he wants everything to be new. The monkey masks most likely resemble the omnipresent anonymity of old Germany and the organized way of life they have. Peter seems to be saying that he wants to destroy that part of himself and create a new way of life that is more abstract and free-flowing. He wants to recreate himself. As he's walking through the streets and the trash cans are blowing up, it really spells out how he wants to rid his life of the old routine and start from scratch. The romanticism of this song is literally spelled out in black and white. He talks about how he was born there, at the house at the lake. Even though he wants to go out and expand his horizons and see new things, life always brings him back to his home. He pictures himself married with twenty grandchildren at the house at the lake. He wants to go out and find the perfect woman for him because he knows she's out there in the world waiting for him to find her. After he's done traveling the world and finding himself and his perfect woman, he'll come back home as a rich man and have his relatives and neighbors over for a party to celebrate his homecoming. He then talks about how he can't wait for his future to happen. How he's so happy with where he knows his life will go.
