I found it really useful watching the episode 5 of The Lernen to Talk show because Micky used a lot of sentence with past tense in the video. Micky discussed about the weather, the coincidence he witnessed during the class and the Swiss literature with his host father, Jean Claude. 'Wie geht's? Alles ist gut?' They started the conversation with the common greetings. He used a lot of past tense sentence in this episode. For example, 'Meine Lehrerin hat uns gelehrt, über die Worte', which means my teacher taught us with words. 'Es war unglaublich', which means it was unbelievable. Micky was shocked by a coincidence which happened during its German class. When they were discussing about a virtual accident, a car actually hit a bicycle in the corner outside, which also sounds unbelievable to me. 'Ich war schockiert', which means I was shocked. Micky also learnt how to use the dative case during the last 5 weeks. For example, 'Der Radfahrer ist in dem Ambulanz.' When they discussed about the fun they had the past summer, Jean talked about the book he read. 'Hast du viel Spaß in Sommer gemacht? Ich habe win paar Bücher gelesen'.
For the episode 6 of the show, Micky had another conversation with a beautiful lady called Jasmine Trikochi. Micky still had some problem with the simple words such as "why" and because. They first talked about their work. 'Wie lange hast du hier gearbeitet? Ich habe hier drei Wochen gearbeitet. Es ist ein Praktikum.' Micky and Jasmine were working in the same place. Jasmine worked as an internship and Micky was looking for an internship. 'Hast du ein CV in englischer gemacht?' They discussed about the CV for the internship. It is difficult for people to write a CV in another foreign language and Micky were worried about it. At last, Micky thanked Jasmine for joining in the show. 'Ich danke dir für einen Gast sein.' I definitely learnt a lot of useful common sentences from the show.
